Do not think that I have forgotten about the fact that I have not posted on my blog for a month, I am very much aware of this fact . I do not know exactly why, or at least I haven't cared enough to pin point the reason. It was not for a lack of events my dear readers for my birthday was this month, nor was it a lack of inspiration I had often thought of things to write . Simply I did not get around to writing . But I do feel badly about this and therefore I will spoil you with the uneventful details of this month of February although the Exchange gods know that all I can impart to you seems utterly normal and vanilla to me.
This month I turned 18, so I guess that legally makes me an adult which is in all honesty is pretty anti-climatic after packing your life into a suitcase and moving away from everything you've ever known. Never the less it was a life milestone something to celebrate and the timing dear readers couldn't be any better. Karnival was by my birthday already in full swing and didn't stop till Monday, my birthday consequentially was celebrated over the span of days and not hours.
My birthday was one of the best I've had in my life, I felt the love from everyone around me and I couldn't have felt more special. I was congratulated and sung to my hand was shook and I was hugged. I came home to cake and , yes i'll say it, family. The next day I was on a train with my sisters on my way to Karnival which in itself was a wonderful experience. I leave you here with the pictures of the trip as well as a day I spent with a friend in Duisburg .

ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you enjoy my post since sometimes it really feels like I'm just writing to myself.I also puts a smile on my face to know that you have taken the first step towards this experience it's not for everyone and it's not easy but I guess you can tell from reading the blog that at least for me it has been worth it !
