Happy Birthday America

Yesterday was 4th of July which to the rest of the world means little but to Americans means a lot . The fourth of July is the anniversary of the adoption of The Declaration of Independence, where our founding fathers told Britain that they no longer wanted to live under British rule. It was not till seven years later in1783 (Treaty of Paris) that the US officially gained Independence. Long story short today Americans all over the country celebrate Independence Day in an array of celebrations varying from barbecues to full blown block parties. My family goes the traditional and very popular South Floridian way with lots of beach,   barbecue, beer (as my dad pointed out German beer ;), and fireworks . Here our some of our pictures from 4th of July .
